Young professionals
New Haven is home to a growing number of young professionals (and this includes graduate students!). There are plenty of reasons 20-30 year olds are attracted to the city and to Downtown in particular. With year round activities ranging from festivals and outdoor markets to art exhibits and theater openings, New Haven’s plethora of events can fill anyone’s social calendar. Nightlife in New Haven provides something for everyone including an extensive line-up of international cuisine and a popular bar and club scene.
There are also several young professional groups that host social and professional networking activities. Volunteer opportunities abound offering ways to get to know the area, but more importantly the people who live here. Given the affordable cost of living and range of both indoor and outdoor activities, it is no surprise New Haven has become a magnet for young professionals.
